One of the services that the Consortium provides is a platform for disseminating peer reviewed research findings through our Resources tab. We are also exploring providing a mechanism for facilitating research with the following caveats.
- The research be relevant to our mission, vision, goals and objectives.
- The research must have current, documented IRB approval.
- The Consortium provides no resources or assistance in developing or conducting such research, assumes no responsibility for the the quality or outcome of the research, and does not sponsor the research.
- Solely at our discretion, the Consortium’s only role might be to serve as a mechanism to disseminate the opportunity to participate in such research.
Ann Marie Hart, PhD, FNP-BC, FAANP, a faculty member with the University of Wyoming, and colleagues are conducting a survey study that builds on their previous research exploring new NP preparation for practice and transition to practice. She is recruiting recently graduated NPs to complete a survey that explores their experiences. She has asked our help in recruiting participants.

Dear NNPRFTC Colleagues:
I need your help recruiting new NPs to complete a national survey related to preparedness for practice and transitioning into practice. Please forward the below message to new NPs and encourage them to complete the survey! – Results from my 2 previous surveys have lent support for the need for NP residencies and fellowships and resulted in the following publications:

Note that the current survey is only for NPs who graduated between 2012-2016, and the survey itself screens for this in the first few items. Also, it would be great to have NPs complete the survey who either have completed a residency or fellowship program.

This survey has been approved by the University of Wyoming’s IRB. The results of a similar survey in 2012 were published in “The Journal for Nurse Practitioners” and have helped inform NP education and transition into practice.
